FILING DEADLINE FOR BOARD OF EDUCATION POSITIONS
A candidate who wishes to seek a position on the Board of Education of the Rogers City Area Schools must file a nominating petition and an Affidavit of Identity with the Presque Isle County Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. The number of signatures required is a minimum of 6 signatures and a maximum of 20 signatures. A $100.00 nonrefundable fee may be filed in lieu of a petition.
The regular school election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Two positions on the Board of Education of the Rogers City Area Schools will be filled at the election. The positions are regular 6-year terms, and will expire on December 31, 2024.
Petition forms can be obtained at the Presque Isle County Clerk’s Office, 151 East Huron Avenue, Rogers City, Michigan, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m., and 4:30p.m.
