Huron Broadcasting

Video Production

Huron Broadcasting is a very unique class offered at Rogers City High School. Focusing on video production from start to finish, the class utilizes a state of the art Mac lab to teach students the art of digital storytelling.

The students are taught professional filming and editing techniques using industry standard software and equipment. The class does not just focus on creating films however. Students also record live events, ranging from school sporting events to community events, manipulating overlays and producing the events on site.

Huron Broadcasting has received recognition at both the local and state levels, with students winning various awards as well as film festivals, and has grown to become the premiere broadcasting class in Northern Michigan.
