Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. in partnership with Rogers City Schools, is pleased to announce Dana John Labar is available to provide counseling and therapy services for enrolled students. Mr. Labar is a Licensed Professional Counselor who achieved a Master's degree in counseling from Northern Michigan University. He is a Licensed Professional counselor with over 20 years experience in education.
Services we offer include:
- Screening for Emotional & Behavioral Difficulties
- Behavioral Health Counseling
- Individual & Family Counseling
- Comprehensive Behavioral Assessments
- Crisis Intervention
- Case Management, Prevention, Intervention & Treatment
- Confidential Services
Services at the school are available five days a week and through out the summer months. Parents or legal guardians will need to complete consent for treatment and return it to the school. The first appointment is scheduled to include the child and parent(s)/legal guardian, whenever possible, to obtain a history and complete a full assessment. The following appointment is a treatment planning session to establish treatment goals. Although parents are not required to attend each student's session, it is most beneficial to the student and families if parents/guardians can attend the first two appointments and remain involved in treatment progress. TBCHS participates with most insurance plans, provides insurance enrollment assistance and offers discounts as low as $10 per visit. No student is denied access to counseling services based on inability to pay.
